How to start creating electronic music
There are many ways to approach this. I will point out an easy way, whereas one has to see, that this is a computer based one, which is not the only way to go, but the one of the most efficient. You can start to make music with points 1, 2 and 3 the rest is optional. I list here a logic, and in my eyes, smart order of buying equipment, having a low budget in mind.

After downloading your last album(great work btw!), I stumbled over this workshop section here. It really contains a lot of useful onformations about production and stuff...thx for the work dude!
I must say that I disagree about thse computer opinions you have, but hey...since you wrote it some time passed probaly...no one talks about Vista anymore and we seem to have 64-bit support for most DAW´s and plugins now.(running win7 64-bit, Cubase 5.1 and haven´t come across one plugin that doesnt work yet)

hi, great site, actually it's the only place where i found real answers to my production problems.
"NEVER buy Acer or noname stuff", well i'm not sure, i use an acer 1.82 Ghz duo with 1Mo ram runnig vista 32 bits and FL studio and an internal archaic sound card, with some Asio drivers and a external M-audio sound card that support rewire and USB-Midi, i've switched to a better, faster music machine (4.8 ms latency on keys).

I reckon this guide is really cool and helpful, but I have to say I disagree on the compulsory Mac front. While there's a technical benefit to 64-bit I don't think I've ever come across a situation while writing alone or collaborating where that limit has been hit with the current generation of audio tools. Certainly when I've been collaborating with Mac users there's been no appreciable performance difference when compared to my XP box, which was one third the price - which allowed me to buy some more nice softsynths. Your mileage may vary however... smilies/smiley.gif
